Hi! I am Jinyu Xu (徐进宇), an undergraduate student at the School of Cyber Science and Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST). My research interests include Computer Vision, Computer Graphics, AI for Sciences and LLM Security.

I am currently conducting research advised by Prof. Hao Lu, focusing on visual dense prediction problems such as dense object counting and fine-grained plant phenotyping. Recently, I am honored to have a first-author paper accepted at CVPR 2026. Previously, I was a research intern at the State Key Laboratory for Novel Software Technology, Nanjing University, where I worked on the compliance assessment of multi-party large language models (LLMs).

I strive to uncover underlying regularities and principles from deep insights. Based on these, I aim to develop simple yet effective solutions for real-world problems. Currently, I am actively seeking PhD opportunities (starting Fall 2027) and research internships.

• This work defines Plant Agnostic Counting, a task focusing on zero-shot generalization across various species. We provide two datasets, PAC-105 and PAC-Somalia, and propose TasselNetV4 as a robust model for precision plant counting.
